Refer an Afghan family for
KIAC provides free, practical support to Afghan families building their lives in America—from English instruction and job preparation to schools, healthcare, everyday assistance, and community support.
Whether you are a case manager, resettlement agency, social worker, or community partner, we can help you give an Afghan family a trusted next step.
The first steps are only the beginning.
Finding housing, enrolling children in school, securing documents, and beginning work are important milestones. But learning how to build a life in a new country takes longer.
As initial resettlement support winds down, families may still be learning English, searching for better employment, navigating healthcare, reading unfamiliar paperwork, working toward a driver's license, or simply trying to understand how everyday life in America works. That is where Kindness in Action Charity can help.
KIAC works alongside resettlement agencies and community partners to provide continued Afghan family support—not to replace formal case management, but to help families keep moving toward confidence, stability, and independence.
Practical support for the challenges that come next.
Families referred to KIAC can receive support based on their individual needs.
Give families somewhere trusted to turn next.
KIAC is designed to complement the work already being done by case managers, resettlement agencies, refugee-service organizations, and community partners.
Our role is often in the everyday questions that remain after the urgent paperwork is complete:
How to refer an Afghan family.
Complete the short referral form below with the family's permission. We only ask for what we need to make contact.
A KIAC team member reaches out in the family's preferred language to learn what they need and explain how we may be able to help.
We connect the family with appropriate KIAC services and, when a need is outside our scope, help identify an appropriate partner or resource.
Let the family contact us themselves.
You do not have to complete a referral form. Send the family directly to our Get Help page, where they can contact KIAC in Dari, Pashto, or English.
Founded by someone who has made the same journey.
KIAC was founded by Azizullah Aziz, a former Afghan interpreter who served alongside U.S. forces before rebuilding his own life in Houston.
Aziz knows that arriving safely is not the same as feeling at home.
KIAC exists to help other Afghan families navigate the challenges that follow—language, work, schools, healthcare, paperwork, unfamiliar systems, and the absence of a trusted community to call when something goes wrong.
