Accessibility statement
Everyone should be able to use this site — including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, captions, or magnification. This page says what we do about that, and how to tell us when something falls short.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, across the whole site.
How the site is built
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure, so screen readers can navigate by landmark and heading.
- Everything works from a keyboard — menus, forms, and the video player included — with a visible focus indicator throughout.
- Meaningful photographs carry text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text sizes and colors are chosen to meet AA contrast, and the layout holds together at high zoom and on small screens.
- Nothing autoplays, and motion is kept restrained.
- The Get Help pages are also offered in Dari and Pashto, with full right-to-left layout.
Where we are
Every page of this site was audited against WCAG 2.1 AA in August 2026 — automated checks plus a keyboard walk-through — and the issues that audit found were fixed. We re-check as the site changes, and this page is updated when we do.
