They Stood with us. Now we stand
Starting over in a new country takes more than a safe place to land. KIAC helps Afghan ally families build stable lives in America through English instruction, job preparation, practical support, and lasting community.

Eight years of trust, undone in eighteen months.
An interpreter's job was to stand close enough to an American patrol to be heard — which meant standing close enough to be remembered. That risk was supposed to be answered with a visa, a status, a place to land. Most of those answers have gone quiet.
The ally returning kindness.
Aziz spent over a decade as an interpreter and ally to American forces. After the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, he was hunted for the service records he could not un-write, and pulled out by a volunteer network of U.S. veterans. He resettled in Houston and found hundreds of ally families arriving into nothing at all.
"My family’s story could have ended in fear and uncertainty. Instead, the kindness of others gave us a new beginning. This organization's mission is to carry that kindness forward."

Three things, in order
of what a family needs first.
Stabilize the household. Build the community around it. Then walk the year together.
Essential
services
Rent relief, groceries, transportation, medical navigation, school enrollment, and legal referrals — delivered in the first ninety days, when a household either steadies or collapses.

Hub events
Monthly gatherings at churches across the U.S. where ally families, sponsor teams, congregations, and veterans meet each other as neighbors — not as clients and providers.

your church
One congregation can carry three to five families. We bring the playbook, the vetting, and the on-ramp events.

a veteran
