Donor promise

This is our policy on donations, in plain terms: what happens with your information, your money, and your options. It applies to every gift, one-time or monthly.

Your information stays here

We never sell, share, rent, or trade donor information. Not with other nonprofits, not with marketers, not with anyone. Your name and contact details are used to process your gift, send your receipt, and — only if you opted in — send our monthly note. Nothing else.

Receipts and tax deductibility

KIAC is a 501(c)(3) public charity, and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. You'll receive an emailed receipt for every gift. Our EIN is 99-1259372.

Recurring gifts cancel anytime

No questions, no phone tree. Use the link in any gift receipt, or email info@kiacharity.org and we'll cancel it for you.

Refunds

Mistakes happen — a duplicate gift, a wrong amount, a change of mind. Email us within 30 days of the gift and we'll refund it in full.

The tip line at checkout

Donations are processed by Givebutter. At checkout, Givebutter suggests an optional tip that supports its platform, not KIAC. You can set it to zero, and your gift to KIAC is the same either way.

How gifts are used

Your gift funds the work — English instruction, job preparation, Hub Events, and direct family support — and the operations that make it possible. We steward donated funds carefully, spend them within the rules the IRS sets for 501(c)(3) charities, and account for their use in our annual filings.
